    J-Crew Baby

This week I became an auntie for the second time!  My sister and her husband welcomed a new little lady into the family.  I am so excited to meet my new niece Kate!  I am also pretty excited because Vancouver’s J-Crew has just opened and I now have an excuse to check out some of the baby stuff.  Here are some of my favorite things.

    A Weekend Hike

Yesterday I went on an amazing hike with some friends.  It was so nice to get out of the city and enjoy the weather.

    Hawaiian Sky

Vancouver has been pretty rainy lately and I often find myself dreaming of the Hawaiian vacation we took in November.  Here are some beautiful skies that Darren captured on the trip.  Hopefully these can help others who are going through a grey sky funk.

    DACE

I absolutely love Dace.  She is a local Vancouver designer who has made such a name for herself.  My first internship after design school was with Dace and it was such a great experience.  Her spring 2012 collection is drool worthy.  Check it out.

    My Publisher

After much research, Darren and I decided to make our wedding album on MyPublisher.  I had made albums with them before and have been really happy with the results.  I find that it is really great for customizing and creating exactly what you want.  I am actually going to be making another album with them this week.  I find it so fun to format the albums!

    Finding Emilie

My friend passed this along to me the other day.  I really love listening to a podcast and this story is amazing. If you have a half an hour, take a listen.

    The Wedding Video

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I have been wanting to post this video for some time.  It was shot by our great friend Ericsson, who is a cinematographer (yes we are very lucky).  He was on a film set in Vancouver the Friday before the wedding  and he jumped on a plane and then a bus to get to Banff right before the wedding on Saturday.  Such a great guy.  Darren edited it right when we got back from our honeymoon so that we would be able to show it to friends and family at Christmas.  So here it is!  I hope you like it.  It was so important for me to have a wedding video and I can’t believe how amazing it feels to have some footage of the day and know that I can always look back and see it exactly as I remember it.  We also have some great time lapse footage of the dinner and dance, but we are saving that just for ourselves…

    Ratatouille

I hope everyone has a great weekend.  We might be heading up to Whistler to do a bit of skiing.  If you are looking for something comforting and delicious to make for dinner this weekend, try this awesome ratatouille recipe.  Darren made it last weekend and it was a huge hit.

    This is not a joke

You know how in movies the girls are always writing the name of their crush all over their notebooks? Well that was me in real life this morning.  I have been having to do my new signature a lot lately and it looks ridiculous-like a 5 year old wrote it.  So I have started practicing to make it look like an adult’s signature.  So far it still looks silly…
